Fully Qualified & Accredited Electrician
GO Electrical electricians are fully qualified and accredited to install both commercial and domestic electrical installations.
GO Electrical like to also employ apprentices to train up so that they are also one day fully qualified. All our apprentices are left to do tasks that suit their skill range and are also fully supervised by a trained electrician.
NAPIT stands for “The National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers”. Electrical work in areas that are considered “Special Locations” (Kitchens, Bathrooms, Wet rooms, Outdoors etc) must be notified to building control. There are several ways of achieving this. The to most common ways are to either request the local building officer to come and inspect the electrical work. They will then want to see a competent person completing certain electrical tests. However the most common is to “self certify”. This is where an accredited electrician completes the tests and notifies building control on your behalf. Hence the need to use an accredited electrician.
There are several accreditation bodies. The well known bodies are NICEIC, NAPIT and ECA. For an electrician to self certify they must belong to at least one governing body. We are accredited with NAPIT.
GO Electrical always recommends using an accredited electrician. The main reasons are:
- To become accredited Electricians are vetted on a regular basis. This includes insurance, qualification and paperwork checks etc.
- It is cheaper to self-certify to building control leading to a more cost effective electrical installation.
- You have some guarantee, or at least a point of contact in the accreditation body if something goes wrong.
